TaxAct Free is not new to many of us, but this is to inform those who are interested that the free version is now available for download. Prior to this date the 2016 downloadable version on their website was a "preview" version.
I realize this basic free version is not for everyone, but those who don’t need anything more than 1040ez or 1040A filings might be able to utilize it for free instead of buying a TurboTax or HR Block version that is overkill for them…..
This is the free download version to do your taxes on your PC as opposed to placing your personal and private information in an online program……
