Reviews are mixed (3/5), but this is the best price I’ve found for a NEW portable A/C unit, so I thought it’d be worth a gamble.

It’s worth noting that if you don’t mind refurbished, Groupon has some other units that are reasonably priced using coupon SALE3 for 10% off. For example, here’s another 8,000 BTU Haier AC unit for $220 – 10% SALE3 = $198. However, it’s refurbished and final sale.
