I’ve been looking for a deal on a roofing nailer for a while. In the short term, I have a shed, next up, reroof the house, and who knows, maybe more? I didn’t want to get the cheapest tool out there, but I didn’t want to pay a fortune. I’ve been watching Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, CPO, but just not finding what I wanted. A brand-name refurb through CPO was an option – for example, they have a Senco RoofPro 455XP (an older model) refurb for $129.99. Price checked it at our local Do-It center and there the same model (new) was $199.
Turns out Menards is clearing that model out to make room for the newer model, and for now the gun, with case, is $99 plus shipping, new with 5 year warranty. It is not the best gun available, but it’s reputed to be a good one overall. And the price is right. Bought mine this morning. 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon ratings…
