The game is VR compatible, but you can also launch Oculus Home games in desktop mode, so it isn’t locked to VR-only. But it’s a hassle to have Oculus Home if you don’t have a Rift or Vive (or other compatible headset), so you may want to wait for a steam sale if you don’t have one.
