What is Arma 3?
-Arma 3 is an open world military tactical shooter by Bohemia Interactive that was released in September 2013.
-The game is primarily played online with custom games modes such as but not limited to:
–Life: A role-playing type game mode. Players can take the roles of Police Officers, EMTs, Civilians or other roles.
–Wasteland: "Call of Duty" style fighting. You spawn in with basic gear, loot what you can or buy better gear.
–Epoch/Exile: You typically spawn with little to nothing, you’ll loot buildings or missions for loot, battle AI and/or other players, buy and sell gear/vehicles/building components, build a base and defend it, lock your base/vehicles.
–Battle Royale: PlayerUnknown’s Battleground type game mode
-There is also a single player campaign, but I can honestly say I’ve never played it. -You must buy the Original game to be able to use the DLCs.
-If you don’t have the DLC for a certain vehicle you won’t be able to enter the driver’s seat, but you can enter some of the passenger seats.
-If you don’t have the DLC for a weapon, clothing, armor or accessory, you will have an overlay that will cover your screen every few minutes. *At first this isn’t all that bad, but when you’re in combat, attempting to snipe, or using some type of thermal….. it can get old quick.
I really don’t know the best way to explain or describe what this game is, or how it plays to something that’s never played Arma 2 or DayZ.
I personally enjoy Arma 3, the first time I played an Arma game was back when there was a Bohemia Interactive HumbleBundle, where it only cost me like 6$ to get into the game. I primarily played the original DayZ mod for Arma 2.
I have 432 Hours into Arma 2 currently, and I have 1443 Hours into Arma 3 currently. So I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth out of playing them, and I wasn’t lucky enough to buy Arma 3 or Arma 3 Apex when it was on sale.
