The parallel kit gives you (1) L5-30R outlet and an RV outlet.

I personally have no experience with this "re-brand" brand. However for someone in a bind due to the recent hurricane and subsequent power outages, this could be a good opportunity to get something on the cheap side.
For further protection, one could buy one of the warranties above and have their credit card add 1 year on top of the extended warranty. Amex and others do this. Citibank will add 2 years on top which is even better than Amex.
