United States District Court for the District of Minnesota
Ponce v. Lenovo (United States) Inc., No. 16-cv-01000-JNE-JSM
If you purchased a computer or tablet from Lenovo’s website, you could get a $50 cash payment from a class action settlement.
A federal court authorized this notice. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer.
The proposed settlement will pay $50 for each computer or tablet purchased from Lenovo’s website, other than a "ThinkPad" branded product, between December 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015.
To receive your $50 payment, you must submit a claim by November 24, 2017. Claims may be submitted online by clicking here or visiting www.lenovodiscountpricingsettlement.com. You can also mail your claim form to the Claims Administrator if you prefer.
The simple online claim form likely will take less than 1 minute to complete and does not require any records from you.
You will be subject to the release in the Settlement Agreement regardless of whether you submit a claim, unless you exclude yourself from the Settlement as described below.
Why Am I Receiving This Notice? Lenovo (United States) Inc. ("Lenovo") has settled a class action lawsuit. You are receiving this notice because Lenovo’s sales records indicate that you are a member of the Settlement Class. The Settlement Class includes all persons in the United States who purchased a Lenovo computer or tablet, other than a "ThinkPad" branded product, through Lenovo’s website on or after December 1, 2014 through December 31, 2015.
What is This Case About? The lawsuit alleges that Lenovo engaged in a deceptive pricing scheme related to computers and tablets sold on its website, by portraying fictitious "Instant Savings" or "eCoupon" discounts. Lenovo denies that it violated the law or that its practices were wrongful in any way, but has agreed to settle the case to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation.
What Can I Get? If the Court approves the settlement, you are eligible to receive a payment of $50 if you submit a valid claim by November 24, 2017. To submit a claim, click here or visit www.lenovodiscountpricingsettlement.com. If you do not have online access, you may mail your Claim Form to the Claims Administrator at the address below:
