Technical information:
These processors have 8 integer cores and 4 floating point cores. The cores are combined into four modules (2 integer unit + 1 FP unit each). So, from the point of view of integer work, they are 8 core CPUs. From the point of view of floating point work, they are quad core CPUs.
The "E" series processors have lower leakage than many FX chips, especially the 9000 series, so they require less current when overclocked. Check my posting history for extensive overclocking tips if you’re interested in overclocking. All FX processors have unlocked multipliers and are soldered. Overclocking will require the use of a replacement cooler, as the stock cooler is tiny.
Although the 8320E is rated for 95 watts it uses much less power than that at stock.
