"Valid 11/27. Qual’g rate plan req’d. Taxes & fees apply." Unlike the BOGO that specifically says New line. I was also able to add to cart and click purchase with $48 price and I am about to buy it too, so please don’t assume just because T-mobile is trying to get you to add a line, even if you don’t have to.
