Was just checking last night on this and it was still $50 for the download version. Now TurboTax Deluxe (+ Federal Efile and State) is under $40 (matching the boxed version).
Used H&R Block software in 2015 and kept getting rejections on federal efile. I had to start all over and it finally submitted and vowed not to use it again. 2016 taxes I used TurboTax and felt the software was the same, but was able to submit it in one try. Now 2017 taxes, bought $10 H&R Block software thinking it’s not possible to still be problematic. Sure enough, last night, 10 federal efile rejections and no solution in sight.
Needless to say, I will use TurboTax from now on even if it’s 4x the price.
