I had not signed in to Samsung Pay in a while, but when I purchased Amazon gift cards through them earlier, I saw a new Terms & Conditions link. After reading through it, I saw they lowered all the tier point levels to half. It used to be:
Member = 10
Silver = 20
Gold = 30
Platinum = 40
All values are now 5/10/15/20 respectively.
This is also after devaluing the amount of points it takes to reach reward levels last month. Here’s the discussion on Reddit:

While still the only pay system offering rewards, I thought you all might be interested in knowing about this change. It definitely diminishes the desire to reach Platinum each month. I think it is time to cash in my winnings.
