American Airlines is introducing a limited-time nonstop flight to and from Flagstaff AZ (FLG) and Los Angeles (LAX) for $168-$178. The nearest major airport to Flagstaff is Phoenix, which is about 120 miles away (2 hr drive). Flying in/out of Phoenix is always cheaper but I found a few cheap, nonstop flights matching Phoenix’s usual fares so this is a deal!
However, this is on American’s basic economy fare. American’s Basic Economy fare limits carry-on bags to one small personal item, such as a purse or laptop bag. All other baggage must be checked for a fee.
