I have been looking for a hose to go with my new $30 compressor from the recent SD Walmart special. I bought a Milton on clearance at Menards. Then I came across this today at Home Depot and bought it as well.
Home Depot current has two 3/8" x 50′ green Husky hoses. One is $26.98 and one was 14.88 and is now only $10.98. Seems a good quality hose and for 11 bucks the price is right. Has 3 yr Husky guarantee too which would mean HD would give you a new one if this one breaks. For the life of me I cannot tell the difference between these two green hoses. I saw them both in store and the packaging is the same and all the specs are the same. Maybe the sale one is older or something.
Has brass connectors and strain relief.
This is even cheaper than the green ones at Harbor Freight even after their 20% coupon. And I felt the HF ones and they feel thinner and are easier to bend and kink.
This is a hybrid PVC/rubber hose which seem to be the best compromise between weight and performance. True rubber hoses are always most flexible but they are heavy and also pick up dirt and color can rub off in your hand. These hybrids are basically what the Flexzilla pioneered. They are lighter but still stay nice and pliable even in colder temps.
