Ford Fusion Energi – $9,757 in instant incentives for lease

If you are looking for a Hybrid or a PHEV car then you may want to take a look at the current incentives Ford has on the Fusion Energi. I just bought one on Thursday. Incentives are based on your zipcode but spot checking all the major areas it was at least $9,757 plus whatever you can negotiate down with your local dealership. This is only for the lease though.
Fusion Energi is a plug in hybrid. Battery only lasts for about 20 miles but if you don’t work too far that is perfect. After the battery runs out it switches it Hybrid mode on the gas engine so you keep going. Still decent gas mileage with them claiming over 40 miles combined city/highway just on gas.
The MSRP is not cheap on the car. Looking at least $31,400 for the SE model. With some hard negotiation you can be around $18,000 car value for the lease and right around $240 – $250 for the monthly lease for 3 years with very little down if any depending on your credit. It just depends on how much you are willing to go back and forth with the dealer. Keep in mind the dealer gets that $9,757 back to them. Don’t let them act like they are making a deal on that for you. If I can’t get 10% off the MSRP in "dealer discount" I consider my negotiation as a fail.
To see the rebate in your area, go to https://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/…ncentives/ and make sure your zipcode is correct. Click on the tab Pricing and Incentives and then scroll down to see you see the Fusion Energi trim you would like.
I myself went for the Titanium trim with plenty of options. Keep in mind you can’t get the federal tax rebate since it is a lease but several states do have state or county incentives you can qualify for. Don’t forgot in several states you can also use these in carpool lanes once registered. I just heard CA is going away from that though, so YMMV. Also check with your local electric company, some also have rebates or discounted power plans.
It’s not a deal for all but if you are debating about a mid-size sedan this is worth at least researching. Best thing I love about this car, it is on the regular fusion frame so it’s not a boxed vehicle like that Prius, Bolt, or the leaf.
