Went to bestbuy to look for a few cheap unlocked phones for my two teenagers. Searched for previous deals for the Moto E but they weren’t unlocked phones.
There was a 32gb E4plus sale but they sold out but a few 16gb… not alot of space but i’m slapping a few 32gb storage cards any ways. The promotion states "with immediate activation, new line or account"…. this does not dissuade a patient slickdealer lol
I bought two boost mobile sim kits which have the micro sim 506C which can be activated for the Sprint network.
The BB rep will try to activate the phones in-store… do not let them. I had to use some charm and keep reminding the BB rep that I was going to the activation at home for use on my wife’s recent Sprint BYOD deal. With that the rep insisted looking up and verifying my wife’s sprint account to ensure that I was going to be able to perform this when i got home. The look on her face when she saw the $5 for the first month’s service
After that check and a few overrides from her manager she walked me up to the register to check out. Not sure why but she had to have the manager do overrides when ringing up the phones. I’m not sure you can replicate this online.
My total for 2 phones + boost mobile sim kits was $219.96 plus tax ($19.58) = $239.54
