Just want to post this forthcoming event on Saturday, Sept 22, 2018.
It will be a nationwide event involving all Walmart pharmacies from 10am to 2pm.
The main thing here will be the comprehensive cholesterol testing. It normally costs $19 per test, but for this event day it will be free. This is a good way to see how your cholesterol meds are working till your next check up, if you don’t have insurance, or if your primary coverage charges a high copay for lab exams.
This test typically costs around $110+ if you go to a physician’s office that sends to a out-of-network laboratory.
The cholesterol test will take about 5 minutes to analyze, so at the meantime you can get the other tests knocked out of the way as well.
Make sure to go on an EMPTY STOMACH, or else your results won’t be accurate and will just end up wasting resources for other people.
Screenings include:
1) Blood pressure
2) Blood glucose
3) Total cholesterol (LDL, TAG, HDL, Total)
4) BMI
5) Vision & hearing screening/testing
6) A1c: $19 currently for those stores that offer it
