Air China have round trip airfares travelling from Washington DC (IAD) to Mumbai India (BOM) for $556-$590, making 1 stop in Beijing China for a couple of hours. Air China is rated 3 out of 5 stars on Skytrax, comparable to the 3 major American airlines that we are familiar with.
Travel Availability: Trial and error dates on Air China and use +/- 3 days flexibility and it will pull up a fare calendar. Start with a Monday departure. Sample departure dates that I used (see attached) are Sept 17, 24 with a 10-day turnaround. Again, play with dates!
