Pennzoil Platinum, Valvoline Full Synthetic, or Castrol Edge and up to a $5 filter are $33.99 before any rebates. High Mileage Synthetic varieties are $34.99.
If you purchase a filter greater than $5, you just pay the difference above $5. I personally would go with a Purolator One, which look to be around $7.49 YMMV and are good for 10K miles. Thus, you would pay an extra $2.50 in this scenario.
