please don’t thumb down just because… seagate. having owned dozens upon dozens of drives, only had ONE loaner Seagate die (likely abused and dropped by friends) and SEVERAL Western Digitals die (one internal gave up likely due to overheating or just failure and another portable, though it was cared for). personal experience would point to WD having inferior drives, but I don’t believe that either. don’t believe the psuedo-study myth about Seagate drives being bad, as these studies were based upon REFURBISHED DRIVES – NEVER BUY REFURBISHED DRIVES for important data as THEY ARE GUARANTEED TO FAIL much sooner than new. |
