Cheap generic toner is available. I’ve usually used LINKYO toners (Canon 120 compatible) which is usually had for $20-$25 / toner.

I have lots of personal experience in a demanding office setting with the Canon D1320/D1350 which is the previous iteration of this model and have nothing bad to say. Only thing I’ve had to replace on them is the rubber on the pickup roller which is definitely a wear item. Only needed replacement after years of heavy service when misfeeds became an issue and replacement is cheap and easy.
