Metro by T-mobile Fee for switching to a new phone $15+tax

Not really a deal. Just information for those of you wanting to switch to Metro by Tmobile. I’ve been with Metro for over a year now, originally I brought my own device. I bought a unlocked iPhone recently and so I put my old SIM card to this phone. Called customer service to switch to this new phone and was notified that there is a $15 fee every time you switch phones. The cost is due immediately and there is no way out of it.
This will affect people who switch phones regularly as the cost is $15 each time they want to switch phones. I asked the rep if there is any way out of this, he responded there is not and that the new fees were implemented Nov 18th, 2018. The only way to use Metro on your new phone is through calling and in person at a store, they will not waive the $15 fee.
Just a heads up for those switching to Metro by T-mobile! This is a ticky-tack penny pinching fee IMO
