Lenovo Y7000 at B&H

15.6" FHD 1920 x 1080 144 Hz IPS Display w/ Integrated 720P Webcam

16GB DDR4 RAM (2666MHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Graphics Card

3-Cell Lithium Polymer Battery (57WH)
Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit)
Inputs
3x USB 3.1
1x USB 3.1 Type-C
1x HDMI
1x Combination Audio Jack
Differences between this and Costco version:
B&H: 512 GB SSD, 144Hz screen, 1 year warranty (Buy with a credit card that offers extended warranty to get 2 years warranty.)
Costco: 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HD, 60Hz screen, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, 2 years warranty
B&H totat: $1199.99 (outside New York)
Costco total: $949.99 + tax (charged on pre-discount amount) + $15 shipping (also charges for store pickup), in my area is $1067.96.
Difference: $131.04

The major draw of this version is the 144Hz screen over the 60Hz screen of the Costco edition.
According to a number of sources including this NotebookCheck.com review , the 60Hz screen has a slow response time and mediocre color range.
"Color space is approximately 86 percent and 56 percent of the AdobeRGB and sRGB standards…
"Response Time Black to White: 36 ms
The screen shows slow response rates in our tests and will be unsatisfactory for gamers.
Response Time 50% Grey to 80% Grey: 42.8 ms
The screen shows slow response rates in our tests and will be unsatisfactory for gamers."
This is corroborated by a review by Saksham on Costco’s Y7000 page :
"Screen is nice, but has bad latency and severe ghosting."
According to LenovoProductExpert in the Q&A section of the B&H sale page , this 144Hz version also has a color gamut of 86.1% sRGB. I couldn’t find any information about response times.
For $131.04 you get a faster screen and a 512GB SSD and lose the 256GB SSD + 1 TB HD and Call of Duty. For my purposes, I prefer getting a 512 GB and adding an HD later than getting stuck with a small 256 GB SSD and having to throw it out to upgrade it later and migrate Windows over.
No, it doesn’t have as much bang for the buck going for it as the Costco deal, but for me, the screen is a super important part of a laptop because I’m going to be looking at it every time I use it.
