This pairs with the Thermoworks Smoke (Sold Separately) unit to allow for control over wifi. Unfortunately the Smoke is not also on sale ($99 currently), but they come around from time to time.
If you plan on getting it, it may be good to pick this up while on sale. Been a while since this sale was posted last (10 months). Don’t know if they are coming up on a new generation or what.
The app has some reviews that are not all great as far as stability and some issues with graphing, but if you’re looking to further the capabilities of the smoke, it may still be worth a shot.
