There is a similar post on SD but it somewhat speculation. I can confirm all the details surrounding the launch pricing and EIP terms. Here are the S10 financed amounts for new accounts or upgrades on Sprint, Verizon or At&t IN STORE at Walmart. Note that not all Walmarts can process these EIP transactions and not all stores offer Sprint.
S10e 128GB – $599
S10 128GB – $749
S10+ 128GB – $799
Now for some FAQ:
Q: Can I pay cash and not start an installment payment/loan (EIP)?
A: You can, but you will pay $150 – $200 more since you are not getting the EIP discount that Walmart offers via Sprint, Verizon and At&t.
Q: My carrier is offering $300 off with trade-in, why is Walmart charging more?
A: Many phone discounts direct from the carrier are often for new lines only and are often a bill credit. Double check the fine print and see what option is best for you.
Q: How is this not a contract?
A: A contract is related to a requirement of service, an EIP has nothing to do with service. You must start an installment payment plan in-store to receive the pricing, but you can pay it off early and cancel service with no ETF.
Q: Are the phones unlocked?
A: No, these are carrier branded phones, the same ones you’d receive at a corporate location. Check your carriers’ unlocking policy. Often it requires 45-60 days of service with the device and no EIP balance remaining.
Q: Is this a bill credit price?
A: No, this is the financed amount, no rebates or credits
Q: Can I pay the phone off early without penalty?
A: Yes, you can pay the phone off on your next bill cycle in full with no additional fees/charges. There is no interest so it may be smarter to keep the money in a bank account and make payments.
Q: Can I trade in my phone?
A: Walmart can process your Edge/Next upgrades assuming you have paid your current phone balance down accordingly, the phone is in good working order, etc. Your paperwork will include a shipping label, you will have to see that the item is shipped back within the given timeframe.
Q: Can I order the phone Walmart.com?
A: You could have preordered prior to 3/3, but you must go to the store to activate through the WARP system, sign paperwork, show ID, etc. If you missed the initial preorder window, you must go to a store with a Connections Center, and process the new line/upgrade in person. Walmart does not sell phones with EIP discounts on the web, period.
Q: Does Walmart charge return/exchange fees?
A: Walmart does not charge any fees within the 14-day return window
Q: Can I put additional money down instead of financing the full amount?
A: Yes, you can put 95%~ down on the phone, you will need to leave enough financed amount as to not have an EIP below $1 per month.
Q: Will the At&t BOGO apply with this pricing?
A: Yes it will, all S10 models apply with this pricing, At&t will cover the entire cost (less retail tax) of the second phone via bill credits. At least one of the lines MUST be a new line, the other can be an upgrade. You can mix and match S10 models, the "Get One" credit applies to the cheaper of the two.
Q: What colors will be available?
A: Walmart will initially carry the black and white colors only.
Q: Will Walmart carry the larger memory variants?
A: It appears that they will not, if they do in the future, the pricing is relative to retail, $150 off S10e and S10, $200 of S10+.
Q: Can I upgrade the phone without activating it, such as for a gift?
A: Yes, the WARP system will give the option to utilize your existing SIM card number, thus allowing you to keep the current phone/service intact until you are ready.
