Apple Lightning to USB-C Cable (2 m) – $29 FS – Amazon

The Apple Lightning to USB-C Cable (2 m) is discounted to $29 currently at Amazon. If you’re like me and you prefer longer cables, these are the only 6.6′ USB-C to Lightning cables available and they’re pretty much never on sale. Item currently backordered a few days and site says will be available April 5, but my order was updated to delivery by 4/5/19 with 2 day shipping. Seeing as how third party cables aren’t coming with much of a discount or none at all, this is actually a pretty good price. I’d expect third party versions to be at least this much and maybe even a couple bucks more when they finally come to market.
****CAVEAT EMPTOR. As usual with any Apple products, there is the possibility for there to be counterfeits posing as genuine products. As these are being purchased from Amazon, I have no concern personally as at the worst, I’ll just return it to Amazon as counterfeit and they’ll refund me. It happens. I move on. The fastest way to see if the cable is genuine or at least will fast charge your device capable of such is to plug your device with less than 50% battery in using a power delivery capable adapter of at least 18W using said cable. You should get the usual charging ding followed a few seconds later by a second ding that indicates a successful fast charging handshake was performed. There are also several ways you can tell counterfeits with the packaging or the cables themselves. For more information, check out: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204566? ****
