This is a great dehumidifier for the money. It does exactly what it's supposed to do - lowers the humidity in the room. We live on the Texas Gulf Coast/Southeast Texas where the humidity is epic, and this little machine keeps the humidity in a big open kitchen/dining/living room at 40% It's easy to empty and is relatively quiet. It makes an inconspicuous air-handling type noise. It was a great investment.

It's a very quiet and effective dehumidifier. But it takes a lot of fiddling to get it to work with the continuous drain. To start with, the passage in the hose extension is too constricted. I had to drill it out. Then the unit has to be positioned just exactly right, or the condensate will overflow into the bucket, defeating the point of having a drain. I also found that it will drain more reliably if I connect the hose with a vertically oriented "T", with the hose at the bottom of the T and the top of the T open to the atmosphere. But once it's modified and positioned, it works very well.

This dehumidifier is very efficient and quiet. It drew the full tank of water within hours. Of course, it depends where you live. The overall design was a big improvement from my previous one (not the same brand). The bucket seems seamless with the whole appliance. I have a difficulty to pull the bucket out in the time. After that I really appreciate the great design. It also provides the hose adapter for those who needs to drain water continuously. My previous one required about additional $20. Ed S from CT

I followed the instructions with this dehumidifier, and set up took about 30 minutes and was very simple. I ran the unit on high for the first few days (per instructions), then switched it to the medium fan option and set my humidity level. It is in my basement, so quietness really isn't an issue, but it does not seem loud to me. It cuts on and off like it should do considering I set my humidity setting. I also used the hose hook up so it will drain continuously without having to empty the bucket, and no leaks!

Does a great job of removing moisture in my crawl space quickly. My old unit had only a two speed fan, but this one has a three speed fan which is quiet on the two lowest settings. The reviews gives it a thumb up also.
