First Deal Submission so go easy on me, but i owe the community for all the amazing deals over the years, and this one screams value.
Based on the same chassis as the famous "Overpowered" gaming laptop by Walmart, but with upgraded 9th gen i7 9750h, as well as the new Gtx 1660Ti.
The new Gtx 1660Ti should perform about 5% below a Rtx 2060 laptop or a Gtx 1070 laptop according to Nvidia (and the scant benchmarks and reviews out there validate that)
This same deal at Amazon goes for $1400! – https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-MECH-17-GeForce-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07QXTTR4H?th=1?
Even on Eluktronics own site it goes for $1400 and can’t be price matched- https://www.eluktronics.com/MECH-17-G1Rx-5P16G/
According to the (Very Helpful) sales rep "Newegg is subsidizing this particular listing to costs lower than even we sell it for so we could not offer a price match in this case.
Additionally this may potentially have top performance for the 1660Ti (or for the Rtx 2060 or Rtx 2070 if chosen) due to EluktroBoost technology which allows the base Tdp of the 1660Ti to go from 80 watts to 90 Watts (closer to matching the Desktop 1660Ti Tdp of 120 Watts)
Here was the detailed explanation i got from a Sales Rep regarding it-
""In regards to the EluktroBoost, that is actually hardware and software related but we decided to equip every 9th gen unit with the feature instead of charging extra for each. Our CEO took an evening to try switching the motherboard from a Mech-17 (Max-P 2070) in to the Mech-15 and found it was actually pretty capable to handle without thermal throttling even with the smaller fans the Mech-15 has. That led to a lot of back and forth with our ODM TongFang until we concluded on the option for a slight revision to the motherboard, a larger AC adapter and changing the TurboBoost mode to function differently. The TurboBoost mode button is where the software will enable the feature to run up to the wattages we’ve disclosed per graphics card depending on thermal temperatures. Opting for game mode or office mode will still retain the 80 watts. We were really hoping this could just be a BIOS solution so previous 8th gen customers could take part and simply upgrade the power supply, but there was a hardware change to the motherboard to complete the capability as well. "" ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/t…t-10904233)
With this TurboBoost option, the Gtx 1660Ti at 90 Watts should be able to perform on PAR or even a bit better than the Rtx 2060 laptops, and nearly identical to the Rtx 2070 Max-Q.
It has a 512GB NVMe SSD (likely the 512GB Adata SX8200 Pro), and comes with a Free Gaming Mouse and Pad.
Lastly if one wants to upgrade the thermals on it (would be wise, since the i7- 8750h was a tough chip to cool and the i7 9750h is no different, however this Chassis has done a great job cooling it relative to others) it can easily be done as follows by purchasing something like this from the eluktronics website for just $25- https://www.eluktronics.com/mastergel-maker-to-cpu-gpu-thermal-compound-upgrade?
followed by copying the Order Number (that one got from Newegg) in the Comments during payment info. Just want to avoid Expedited Shipping so that they will be able to apply the thermal paste in time, otherwise they have to meet a deadline and ship it out quickly.
Here is a review of the Rtx 2070 version with the i7 8750h. Note newer reviews might be coming soon for it with the specs of this deal-
