I came across this while looking up whether or not Red was Movies Anywhere in relation to the fairly popular (yes, I then noticed I could have skimmed down farther).
Note: Red and Red 2 are Lionsgate, and thus NOT Movies Anywhere. If you don’t want to use Vudu to watch these, don’t get them this way.
On Vudu, both movies are in Dolby Vision and have Atmos. One 4k review I skimmed sounds promising for both audio and visual quality for Red 2 in UHD.
Red is both an essentially "paint by numbers" and yet highly amusing "assassin hit squad with heaps of extra character loaded on top" style movie with Bruce Willis as the main protagonist but hardly the only headlining actor. It’s hardly Oscar material but eminently fun if you like this category when it’s taken in a bit of a tongue in cheek, winking at the audience while nominally pretending to be internally serious type of direction. I actually haven’t seen Red 2 yet (yay!? the RT score isn’t nearly as high as Red’s, so who knows) so this works out nicely.
