The inspiration for Nolan's Batman Begins made into an animated movie. Bryan Cranston voicing Gordon's perspective is so gritty, grounded, & real. The movie really makes you feel the emotional weight of a corrupt Gotham PD and Gordon's one man fight against it. Him & Batman slowly become friends and the chemistry between them is spectacular. Great animation, voice acting, writing, & experience overall.

I love the original mini series by Frank Miller, and this is pretty faithful to that. Trouble is that the film is kinda short and though I like the casting (mostly), I don't care for Benjamin McKenzie as Batman at all (he's rad as Gordon in the Gotham series, though:). I would've liked Conroy, O'Mara, or even Baldwin in the role as they were all very good in other animated flicks as Batman. Other than that, it looks great, and it's wicked-fun to see Jim Gordon kick'n @$$ like he did here.

This is the first adaption of a graphic novel that was faithful to it's source material. After being disappointed by Gotham by Gaslight, I wondered if this would be the same but was surprised that we basically got the story as it was conveyed originally. Good job. Enjoyed the telling of it and the animation.
