Both Walmart and Amazon have Brita longlast replacement filters for around $9.5 1 count and $16.5 for 2 count. They generally cost $16 for a single count. I am not sure if these are permanent price reductions or just for sometime. Other retailers like Home deopt and target are still selling at $16 for 1 count:
