Lets just get this out of the way: yes you can get a comparably spec’d Windows PC for less. Yes this sucks because the internal storage is soldered to the motherboard. Yes, you need a Costco membership to get this price.
But, on the off chance you happen to want one of these despite all of the above, this is the best deal I’ve seen on these – including Apple refurbs – by $100.
You can add AppleCare+ for $90 (separate product page) as well. The entry-level i3 Mac mini with 128GB SSD is also on sale for a much more easily available $699. The i5/256GB system seems to be a good sweet spot for a lot of users.
