Each restaurant has different offerings, so be sure to look into each one specifically to make sure you’re eligible to take advantage of their Veterans Day discounts and freebies! Some restaurants require a military ID for their Veterans Day 2019 freebies and discounts, so make sure to have a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a photograph of yourself in uniform (or just be wearing your uniform!), DD214, Citation or Commendation on hand as needed.
Also note that tax and gratuity aren’t included for free meals, so please be sure to tip your server based on the original price of the meal or snack. And most importantly, thank you for your service.
