The new Nest Aware offers:
- One low subscription price for all Nest products in your home, including cameras, speakers* and displays*.
- Event-based recording (EBR), which records only when the camera detects activity, to help you focus on the events that matter. You can also upgrade to Nest Aware Plus, which includes 24/7 continuous video recording (CVR).
- Emergency calling*. Use Nest speakers and displays or the Google Home app to call emergency services for your home.
- Sound detection*. Nest speakers and Nest Hub can alert you when they detect the sound of a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm.
What’s new in Nest Aware?
The new Nest Aware subscription covers all Nest products in your home for one fixed price. If you add a new product to your home, the price stays the same.
You can choose from two simple plans: Nest Aware, with 30 days of event video history, at $6 per month ($60 per year), or Nest Aware Plus, with 60 days of event video history and 10 days of 24/7 video history, at $12 per month ($120 per year). Both plans include access to the Feed, Emergency calling* and Sound detection.
How do I buy a subscription to the new Nest Aware?
You can buy subscriptions to the new Nest Aware from the Google Store starting in early 2020. Nest Aware is available in all countries where Google officially sells cameras and Hello.
If you can’t buy a new Nest Aware subscription from the Google Store because you have a Nest account, the Google Store will guide you through the steps to migrate your Nest account to a Google account and complete payment migration to Google Pay.
How much does the new Nest Aware cost?
You pay a fixed price for each home that you’ve set up in the Nest or Home app. No matter how many Nest products you have in your home, your new Nest Aware price remains the same.
The new Nest Aware is available in two subscription tiers, Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus:
- Nest Aware gives you 30 days of event-video history.
- Nest Aware Plus offers 10 days of 24/7 video history plus 60 days of event-video history. All other features are the same.
