i5-8265U is comparable to current gen ryzen 3500U, (note intel graphics is much worse so not good for gaming however). Laptop has solid battery life, good build quality, and ultra lightweight. Cheapest its been on sale was a month ago very briefly for $500, not sure if we’ll see that again soon or not but I was in the market for one now..
