I’m not seeing this posted elsewhere, and not sure if this is even the best forum, but today Southwest has a new higher value refer-a-friend program, with Southwest personal cards earning up to 75k via personal referral! 40k earned after $1k spend in 3 months, another 35k after $5k total spend within 6 months.
If you can get 5 friends to sign up for any of the cards, you get 10k *per* friend (up to 5)-
So 75,000 points for basically $6,000 spend, plus 50,000 points if you get 5 friends signed up = 125,000 RR points = free Companion Pass for most of 2020 and all of 2021!
You cannot sign up for another personal Southwest card if you already have one, and can only get bonuses for signing up if it has been more than 24 months since you last received it. If you have a personal card now, and it has been over 24 months since you signed up, you can cancel your card and reapply in 30 days, this offer will be good through 2/18/2020. To be able to have any chance of being approved, you must be under 5/24, meaning if you have opened 5 or more new credit cards in the past 24 months (from any issuing bank), you will not be approved for a new credit card from Chase.
