FREE file your tax return if your 2019 AGI was $69K or under

I see several "deals" on specific tax preparation packages but for those with income $69k and under you have multiple choices for FREE tax preparation!
I saw a lot of posts about TaxAct charging for things that should be free so checked it out myself (long time user of them).
I discovered TaxAct has a "start for free" button their website but this is not the same as IRS freefile!
I started a return at the website and started one from the IRS website: in my account they showed as two separate returns: Free and FreeFile.
So please, if you think you might qualify for FreeFile, start your journey at the IRS page of apps instead of at the tax prep company’s website:
