Why this deal is a solid one?

  • Humble Choice games are yours to keep
  • 12 games to keep, mostly having great reviews on Steam
  • This month’s catalog is pretty diverse. If you aren’t subscribed yet you might find a couple of games worth the $14.99 price tag

Here are all games available this month:
- Book of Demons: mix of isometric hack and slash with deck building, Book of Demons let the player decide how long they want to spend questing as you explore dungeons using magical cards.
- Cryofall: a multiplayer 2D survival game set in a distant future where you and your friends will be able to explore, build, trade and more with a number of complex systems including electrical planning, farming with realistic crop growth simulation and more
- Eliza: a visual novel from Zachtronics that talks about an AI counseling program and everyone affected by it; from its developers to its users.
- Frostpunk + The Rifts DLC: a hardcore RTS survival game in which your objective is to make you colony survive as long as possible in the hardest winter earth has experienced. The game will have you making difficult moral choices, and with the DLC included you get an extra, endless mode to explore the coldness as much as you want.
- Night Call: a visual novel-like in which you’re a cab driver. Talk with people, help them, mess with them, hear their problems, ignore their issues. It’s your [night] call.
- Okami HD: an classic by Konami originally released on the PlayStation 2, Okami HD is still a must have for anyone who enjoys action-adventure games. Okami’s artstyle hasn’t aged a single bit either, and on high-resolutions is just beautiful.
- Pathfinder: Kingmaker: an isometric RPG set in the Pathfinder universe. You will be on a journey to build your kingdom and craft your legacy in the Stolen Lands. The game feature big names from the industry like Chris Avelone being its narrative designer, and Inon Zur composing the game soundtrack.
- Project Warlock: a first-person shooter inspired by the likes of classics like Hexen, Project Warlock is a game that has an insane amount of content, including over 60 levels and over 72 kinds of enemies, as well as 38 weapons so you can adjust your killing sections as you need to.
- SHENZHEN I/O: a puzzle game from the almighty Zachtronics that will have you building circuits, coding and breaking your mind as you try figuring what is the next step to take.
- The Hex: a 2D game from the same creator of Pony Island, The Hex is a meta 2D RPG in which you investigate a murder and the suspects are six video game characters.
- Underhero: a side-scroller 2D adventure inspired by the likes of Paper Mario, Underhero has some beautiful 2d art, responsive controls and plenty of RPG mechanics that adds to the replay value
- Warstone TD: a mix of RPG with tower defense, strategy and city-building, Warstone TD will have you doing all that at the same time as you fight for your realm in either single-player or online multiplayer.
So, what to pick (or not) in each plan?
If you’re on the $14.99 plan, I recommend picking:

  • Okami HD, as it’s a masterpiece that doesn’t go on sale very frequently
  • Frostpunk, it’s a great RTS and also a survival game, which plenty of content available and still getting updates
  • Book of Demons: another game packed with content, BoD also allows for Remote Play on TV which makes up for a great comfy couch gaming time.
  • Pathfinder Kingmaker: after a number of updates and major content updates, Pathfinder shaped up to be a very solid isometric RPG experience and one that fans of the genre and its classics like Baldurs Gate will enjoy.

If you’re on the Premium plan or grandfathered Humble Monthly, which will allow you to get 9 and 10 games, respectively, here are my least favorite games that might help you decide on what to skip:

  • The Hex: it was recently bundled on Fanatical and we fully expected to see it bundled more frequently, allowing you to get it for much cheaper down the line.
  • Cryofall: unfortunately, this is a multiplayer-only game and it’s not one much populated, so unless you have some friends to get into it, it won’t be a remarkable experience.
  • Warstone TD: another recently bundled game in a much cheaper bundle, and it also requires permanent internet connection to be played which can be a bummer for some
