The Dome Valve is on sale for $64.99 for Labor Day through 9/8. This price is about $4-$5 more than the least it’s been within the last year as well. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a sale price on them approaching this price so this is good for people who have been waiting since retail is closer to $100.
This requires a smart home automation controller to operate and will NOT work on it’s own. Anything Z-Wave will work and I personally use VeraPlus which is inexpensive, easy to use, robust and doesn’t require a monthly fee to access any features. It’s also 100% local stored and controlled so even if Vera goes out of business tomorrow it will still operate unlike others who use the "cloud" and their own servers to store the functionality. No requirement to "call home" on the Vera stuff but still offers the ability to access from anywhere you have internet. Just my two cents on controllers since it often gets asked on these threads.
