I’ve been researching a lot in robovacs lately and have been testing the Roborock S5 Max vs the Ozmo T8+. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses and I was about to send back the T8+ since I had bought it at $650 from Best Buy last week and I didn’t think it was worth the extra $200 over the S5 Max. Its now down to $449.99 which is an insane value since it comes with an auto emptying bin and currently has better object avoidance than the T8 AIVI or the S6 MaxV since it uses true depth 3D sensors (similar to FaceID on the iPhones) vs cameras on the AIVI or S6. I say "currently" because both the AIVI and the S6 MaxV should technically get better as the AI learns whats objects to avoid. Non vision or true depth 3d sensor based robovacs (s5 max and most others) will likely just push an object or tangle up in charging cables. The T8, T8 AIVI, and S6 MaxV should theoretically avoid such objects.

(The T8 AIVI won, but this T8 is very similar and still has better object avoidance IMO). S5 Max won mid range robovac. T8 won Premium robovac
With the T8 series, you can also buy the Ozmo Pro which is an oscilating mop attachment that should do WAY better than just dragging the mop cloth around:

Lots of deals on robo vacuums happening on now and this is hands down the best value compared to the T8 AIVI + Self emptying at Costco ($849.99) , S5 Max at Amazon/Walmart ($440), or the S6 MaxV at Amazon ($599.99 tomorrow). Self-emptying and object avoidance just adds a whole level of automation compared to the drunk robovacs and the regular lidar robovacs.
Also to note, while the Deebot T8 advertised suction power is 1500 pa vs the 2000 pa of the S5 Max or the 2500 pa of the S6 MaxV, it is actually MORE powerful than any Roborock at a whopping 24 CFM in airflow power vs 18 cfm of the s5 Max and 15 of the S6 MaxV (yes, the s6 MaxV actually has less airflow power than the s5 MaxV). 24 cfm is currently the highest airflow power of robovacs tested by Vacuum Wars.
