About this ebook

From the #1 New York Times-bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power comes the definitive new book on decoding the behavior of the people around you

Robert Greene is a master guide for millions of readers, distilling ancient wisdom and philosophy into essential texts for seekers of power, understanding and mastery. Now he turns to the most important subject of all - understanding people's drives and motivations, even when they are unconscious of them themselves.

We are social animals. Our very lives depend on our relationships with people. Knowing why people do what they do is the most important tool we can possess, without which our other talents can only take us so far. Drawing from the ideas and examples of Pericles, Queen Elizabeth I, Martin Luther King Jr, and many others, Greene teaches us how to detach ourselves from our own emotions and master self-control, how to develop the empathy that leads to insight, how to look behind people's masks, and how to resist conformity to develop your singular sense of purpose. Whether at work, in relationships, or in shaping the world around you, The Laws of Human Nature offers brilliant tactics for success, self-improvement, and self-defense.

The Laws of Human Nature is a very entertaining book, full of fascinating stories that will amaze the reader, as well as teach us how to understand and reflect about our nature as human beings in our society. This book does not intend to prove itself by scientific evidence; indeed, you can use the subjects presented in this literature to improve your skills when dealing with people, but every single point presented here is analyzed taking in consideration stories about people that lived in the past as well as historical facts and episodes that we have registered through the last centuries. Robert Greene has a specific template that he has been using in every single book, which for some can get a little bit boring and repetitive, but for me he's always a great author to read.

What an unbelievable book! The depth and the content of this book can be made into 20 different decent books. I can't imagine the number of hours of research Robert Greene had to do. I bought the Audio book and liked it so much that I flew to Los Angeles to meet with Robert Greene when Ryan Holiday hosted an event. What makes this book stands out from others is the amount of useful information and real life stories of people. One can relate to all these and I am very grateful to have stumbled on this book. Pure diamond. I have listened to the audio book over and over and it is like a polishing stone that is making me a better human being every day.

I recently purchased this book & I am unable to put it down. this is the first Robert Greene book I have read and I have plans on seeing what else this writer has and maybe getting another after I finish this book. I purchased this book to give me a better understanding of some of the traits I have as just a regular human. I grew up with only a mother and absolutely no other family so its extremely fascinating the human nature of us all.
