To the Moon – Nintendo Switch eShop Digital Game – $8.39

In light of recent events with $GME (insert emojis here for Diamond Hands Rocket Ship To the MOON!), this sale made me laugh even though it was about a week too late.
In all seriousness though, To the Moon is a beautiful story-driven simple RPG that is maybe about 4-5 hours long, and I HIGHLY recommend. It is more like you are watching a fantastic pixel art film. It memorable and well worth the price. This game released about 10 years ago on PC (you may be able to find cheaper sales there), but recently debuted on Switch in 2020 remade using the Unity engine, so this sale of 30% matches the all-time low sale prices on this title.
Accolades pulled from Wikipedia:
To the Moon received generally positive reception, according to review aggregator Metacritic Critics, while noting that the gameplay itself was lacking, praised the story and music. [...] In GameSpot’s 2011 Game of the Year awards, To the Moon was given the "Best Story" award, which was won against Catherine, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Portal 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles which were also voted in the same category. The game was also nominated in the categories of "Best Music", "Most Memorable Moment", "Best Writing/Dialogue", "Best Ending", and "Song of the Year". In 2015, it was included on GamesRadar’s top 100 games of all time list. In 2018, the mobile version was nominated for the "Game, Original Adventure" and "Original Light Mix Score, New IP" categories at the National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers Awards.
TL;DR If you haven’t played this game… you should.
Enjoy!

A story-driven experience about two doctors traversing backward through a dying man’s memories to artificially fulfill his last wish.
Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning… but only in their patients’ heads.
Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.
This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny’s past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a lifetime, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.
And Johnny’s last wish is, of course… to go to the moon.
