I was looking for an inexpensive of pair binoculars for a friend to use at high school football games and ran across this pair on Amazon for just $10 (regularly $17) -

I received them today and they are compact, lightweight and surprisingly well-built for the price. I was sufficiently impressed that I bought a second pair for myself. These aren’t high quality binoculars, but they work well enough (check the reviews on Amazon – I think they are accurate). At this price they are essentially disposable so I don’t have worry about losing them on a trip.
