I’ve been tracking the sign up bonus offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX card and I noticed that this morning they finally increased their bonus offer. The standard/previous offer was for 75k Bonvoy points, but now it’s up to 150k after you use your new card to make $5,000 in eligible purchases within the first 3 months of card membership. Also included is a Bonus certificate for a night worth up to 85,000 points!
Bonvoy points are valued at about 0.7 cents/dollar by TPG valuation, making just the sign up bonus potentially worth $1645 – assuming you can maximize the potential value, making this one of the best sign up bonuses ever offered on this card.
You still get the $300 statement credit for eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels, $100 property credit (at select chains, see terms below), 15 Elite night credits, a free night stay certificate on your anniversary (up to 50k points), plus Gold Elite status, priority pass select membership, and a credit for TSA/global entry.
