I was looking for food-safe pizza steels and many of them are $100+ online. I even called a local steel factory and they quoted me $70 just for the steel alone (not coated or treated).
I ordered this steel from Pyro and tested it on a pizza at 550 degrees and it came out perfect. The build is solid, has a gap on the side to function as handles (this weighs a lot), it’s than $60, comes ready to use with food-safe oil coating, and it’s made from steel manufactured in the USA/Midwest. Their primary business is huge industrial sized metal ovens, so I think they can be trusted.
If you don’t have a pizza steel and are looking to up your home pizza making skills, I would definitely recommend one!
