I’ve been shopping around for mid range Chromebooks. This one looks pretty good – particularly if you’re looking for a 2-in-1. But for my use case, at the same price I lean towards the HP I posted coming on Nov 23 from Costco.com, which is a straight Chromebook 14 (laptop only configuration) but has the i5 processor and 256GB SSD.
However, this x360 is a 2-in-1 ("tablet" and tent flexibility) if you want that AND does have Gorilla Glass (not sure whether the Costco one coming has GGlass).
I tend to not use my large Chromebooks as tablets as I find it awkward and would appreciate the superior processor/2x storage more than the physical flexibility – but, personal preference – no judgements here. If I wasn’t comparing so many, I’d be happy with any of the ones I’m posting for a long time.
About the x360 from BestBuy’s website: "Workload meet beast mode: Work and play all day with the power and performance of an Intel® Core™ processor, long battery life and ample storage. All the extras never looked this good: Thin and light, FHD Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5™ micro-edge display and 360° hinge that adapts to you.Show off with standout features like a seamless metal cover and keyboard deck and Audio by Bang & Olufsen. Privacy for your peace of mind: Keep it private with a webcam privacy switch that cuts off your video feed. Securely and easily log into your PC with an integrated fingerprint reader."
Ooof. Tempting. The BB down the street has this Open Box Excellent-Certified all the way down to $337. And there’s an Open Box Excellent for $314 further away. Someone needs to buy them. Those are screaming deals.
