I needed the heaviest-duty 50ft 10/3 extension cord that I could find retail, and came across a decent deal (35% off). This is a SJEOOW cord for connecting high power equipment in extreme outdoor environments, temp rated -58°F to 221°F (-50°C to 105°C). The more prevalent, cheaper 10/3 extension cords on the market are SJTW or SJTOW types, made with insulation that doesn’t perform as well as SJEOOW in such conditions. Southwire claims flexible to -67°F, resistant to oil and chemicals, 1/3 lighter in weight and 2 1/2 greater abrasion resistance.
