I’ve been looking for a beginner piano for my kids to learn. The advice I took away was to get a keyboard with weighted keys (not semi-weighted), and get the full 88 keys on the keyboard. Looking through the different models, all of the ones that have decent reviews start around $400 just for the keyboard. Stumbled on this package deal from Guitar Center for the Casio CDP-S100, keyboard stand, and piano bench for $349.99 (normally $539.99).

Reviews are generally positive . The only negative might be the pedal (which you can replace with a different one if you need to).
