The rather ubiquitous and often copied Swiss-made Felco F2s are regarded as the standard bearer among hand pruners, but their prices have mostly been north of $50 as of late (currently selling for about $59 on Amazon). These Japanese-made ARS pruners have been reviewed as good or better than the Felco F2s. See this rather gushing NYT WireCutter review if you’re interested. They normally sell for around $38 – $40, so this is a very good price at less than $32.
