All of our recycled inventory has been tested for both manual and Z-Wave control and is fully functional at the time of shipment. Here is what you can expect when ordering your device:

• OPEN BOX: like new item in excellent condition, it may come in partially damaged or not original packaging; all accessories included; hardware and firmware version may be different than the brand new device description, may not feature Z-Wave Long Range.
• REFURBISHED: good condition, may show slight signs of wear, may not include all accessories (like product manual, battery may not be full, etc); hardware and firmware version may be different than the brand new device description, may not feature Z-Wave Long Range.

Z-WAVE FREQUENCY

This product is available in different Z-Wave frequencies so please make sure you choose the correct region before checking out. You need to select the same frequency / region as your hub when buying Z-Wave devices for them to include to your system. If you're not sure which frequency your hub operates on, please contact your solution provider first. Here is what each option stands for:

• US/CA/MX: 908.42 MHz (used primarily in US, Canada, and Mexico, the default option for all products)
• EU/UK: 868.42 MHz (used primarily in Europe) - no Z-Wave Long Range

INSTALLATION

Before installing, make sure the load does not exceed 960W for incandescent lights, 150W for LED's, 3A for fans and motors, or 10A for resistive load. Check your wiring first to confirm that you have all the following wires present in your gang box: load (most often black), line (most often black), neutral (most often white), and ground (most often green).

If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.

Here are some helpful wiring tips:

• Make sure the gang box you are about to install the switch has a neutral wire available - you will not be able to get the ZEN51 relay to work without a neutral wire. If neutral is not available, you'll need to install the ZEN51 at the light fixture.
• Unlike regular mechanical switches, Z-Wave switches require all of the wires to be connected exactly as indicated - line and load wires can never be swapped as it sometimes happens to the most experienced electricians.

How to include the Dry Contact Relay to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Click the Z-Wave button on the relay 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new on/off switch should appear on your controller's device list
