Raspberry Pi 3 sold separately. A nice feature about this kit is the better case/cooling solutions you get (fan and extra heat sink for back side of the board). Also a better power adapter with built in on/off switch in the USB cable. A Canakit lacks these things. Couple it with a Raspberry Pi 3 from Amazon and you have a nice complete kit for $60.
